From 04th to 05th of February 2020 a delegation from OSCE HLPG led by LTC Sulo Mustafaraj paid an official visit to SEEBRIG HQ in Camp SCHINA, Tyrnavos.
COMSEEBRIG BG Tudorică PETRACHE welcomed the guests during the office call and then an information briefing followed about SEEBRIG’s history, mission, structure, capabilities, exercises and training. During two days, SEEBRIG HQ staff was informed by the guests about their field of expertise, OSCE overview, role and chain of command, HLPG’s structure, mandate, mission, current challenges and other topics like: liaison, pre-deployment training in PKO, environmental protection, peacekeeping force HQ tasks and manning. The OSCE HLPG was created on 20th of December 1994 with military experts seconded from member nations.
During the activity, COMSEEBRIG BG Tudorică PETRACHE discussed with the delegation about common approaches related with Peace Support Operations and other issues of common interest. Moreover, the delegation had the opportunity to visit SEEBRIG HQ offices, Tactical Operation Center, physical training facilities and CIS equipment.
On 30th of January 2020 Mr. Wim VANHAMME - Deputy Director of Euro-Atlantic Disaster Response Coordination Centre (EADRCC) paid an official visit to SEEBRIG HQ in Camp SCHINA, Tyrnavos.
COMSEEBRIG BG Tudorică PETRACHE welcomed the guest during the office call and then an information briefing was presented about SEEBRIG’s history, mission, structure, capabilities, exercises, training and SEEDRO Concept. Afterwards, SEEBRIG HQ personnel were informed about EADRCC background, missions, program and accomplishments in their field of expertise. EADRCC is NATO’s principal civil emergency response mechanism in the Euro-Atlantic area. The Centre functions as a clearing-house system for coordinating both requests and offers of assistance, mainly in case of natural and man-made disasters.
The activity was very fruitful, having in consideration that two of SEEBRIG main missions are Disaster Relief Operations and Humanitarian Assistance. During the meeting, COMSEEBRIG discussed with Mr. Wim VANHAMME about common approaches related with these domains, participation to exercises and issues of mutual interest.
The Deputy Director of EADRCC visited also SEEBRIG HQ offices, Tactical Operation Center, physical training facilities and CIS equipment.
On 22nd of January 2020 a delegation from RACVIAC, led by its director, Major General (Ret.) Jeronim Bazo, paid an official visit to SEEBRIG HQ in Camp SCHINA, Tyrnavos.
The delegation was welcomed by COMSEEBRIG BG Tudorică PETRACHE and after the official office call, the guests were briefed on SEEBRIG’s history, mission, structure, capabilities, exercises and training. Afterwards, SEEBRIG HQ personnel were informed about RACVIAC history, mission, annual programme, accomplishments and their field of expertise. RACVIAC is an international, independent, regionally owned organization, with the mission to foster dialogue and cooperation on security matters in South Eastern Europe through a partnership between the countries of the region and their international partners.
During the meeting, COMSEEBRIG discussed with the delegation about common approaches related with training by workshops, courses and seminars in RACVIAC Centre, participation to our main exercise and other issues of common interest.
The delegation visited SEEBRIG HQ offices, Tactical Operation Center where they could get insights on our procedures and functions, physical training facilities, CIS tools and equipment.
On 25th of June 2019 LTG Konstantinos FLOROS, Commander of 1st Hellenic Army, made an official visit to SEEBRIG HQ in Camp “SCHINA”, Tyrnavos.
BG Tudorică PETRACHE, Commander of SEEBRIG, welcomed LTG FLOROS alongside with Chief of Staff (COS) of SEEBRIG, Senior National Representatives (SNRs) and Host Nation OPR Chief.
After a short office call LTG FLOROS was briefed on SEEBRIG’s history, mission, structure, capabilities, exercises and training. The program of the visit included also signing the Honor Book and a tour in SEEBRIG’s premises.
During the visit was emphasized, for one more time, the excellent cooperation between Hellenic 1st Army and SEEBRIG HQ and was discussed the Hellenic 1st Army support (as part of HN) till the end of the mission in 2020, for exercises and routine activities in Camp “SCHINA”.
The Commander of the Hellenic 1st Army addressed to SEEBRIG HQ leadership and staff his appreciation for their activity, and he emphasized the important role SEEBRIG has in creating and enhancing the cooperation and stability in the region of SE Europe.
On 03rd of October 2018 a delegation from OSCE High Level Planning Group, led by COL Vladimir Minarik, paid an official visit to SEEBRIG HQ in Camp SCHINA, Tyrnavos.
On Wednesday 5th Sep 18, Chief of HAGS, LTG Alkiviadis STEFANIS, paid a visit to SEEBRIG HQ/Tyrnavos, after having been invited by COMSEEBRIG. SEEBRIG HQ is manned by personnel of the following nations, Greece, Albania, Bulgaria, FYROM, Romania and Turkey.
On 26th of July 2018 LTG Dimokritos ZERVAKIS, Commander of 1st Hellenic Army, paid an official visit to SEEBRIG HQ in Camp SCHINA, Tyrnavos.
On 18th and 24th of July 2018, Mayor of Tyrnavos Mr. Panagiotis SARCHOSIS, Chief of Fire Department COL Zisis BROUZAS and Chief of Police BG Vasilios KARAPIPERIS paid an official visit to SEEBRIG HQ in Camp SCHINA, Tyrnavos.
As a project for medical information exchange among military hospitals in the framework of the SEDM Process, IMIHO (Interconnection of Military Hospitals), visit SEEBRIG HQ in Camp SCHINA.
Relocation Preparation Team from Na -5 visited SEEBRIG HQ from 15th to 16th of May with the task to assess the needs and prepare the future host nation activities regarding the upcoming relocation of the HQ in 2020.
