BIOGRAPHY OF BRIGADIER GENERAL ALPTEKIN TARTICI
Brigadier General Alptekin TARTICI was born in Ankara in 1964. He was commissioned an artillery offficer upon graduation from Turkish Military Academy in 1986.
After completing his training in Artillery and Missile School in 1987, he served in different artillery units between 1987 and 1996.
In 1998, Brigadier General TARTICI graduated from Army War College as a staff officer and afterwards held a wide variety of command and staff positions as:
In 1998-2000, Chief of Operations and Training Branch at Brigade level,
In 2000-2002, Planning Officer in Turkish General Staff Headquarters, during which he attended EnglishLanguage education at Defense School of Langauges in Beaconsfield, United Kingdom and he served as the national senior and military observer in United Nations Iraq and Kuwait Observation Mission (UNIKOM) more than one year,
In 2002-2003, Mechanized Infantry Battalion Commander in Edirne,
In 2003-2006, Euro-Atlantic Partnership Work Program Manageer at NATO Joint Forces Command J5 MILCOOP Naples/ITALY,
In 2006-2008, Chief of Staff at the Commando Brigade in Tunceli,
In 2008-2010, Deputy Commander of Mechanized Infantry Brigade,
In 2010-2013, Chief of Education and Plan Branch, Chief of Education of the Turkish War Colleges Command,
In 2013-2014, Deputy Chief of Staff Operations at European Force (EUFOR) Headquarters and National Senior of Turkish Military Delegation in Sarajevo, Bosnia and Herzegovina,
In 2014-2016, Chief of Support of the Turkish War Colleges Command.
In 2016, He was promoted to Brigadier General.
He holds Master’s degrees in the Management of National and International Security Strategies and Leadership (1998) and attends PhD Education on International Relations at Strategic Research Institute (2014-2016).
He took over the command of South-Eastern Europe Brigade (SEEBRIG) on 19 August 2016.
Brigadier General Alptekin TARTICI is married with two children.
