OSCE delegation visit to SEEBRIG HQ, 3rd Oct 18, Tyrnavos/Larissa Na3

On 03rd of October 2018 a delegation from OSCE High Level Planning Group, led by COL Vladimir Minarik, paid an official visit to SEEBRIG HQ in Camp SCHINA, Tyrnavos.

The OSCE High Level Planning Group was created on 20th of December 1994 with military experts seconded from member nations and was mandated to make recommendations for the Chairman-in-Chief on developing a plan for the establishment, force structure requirements and operations of a multinational OSCE peacekeeping force for Nagorno-Karabakh.

After a short office call, the representatives from OSCE-HLPG were briefed on SEEBRIG’s history, mission, structure, capabilities, exercises and training. Afterwards, SEEBRIG HQ personnel were informed by the guests about their field of expertise, OSCE overview and role, chain of command, HLPG’s structure, mandate, mission and current challenges.

During the meeting, COMSEEBRIG BG Tudorică PETRACHE discussed with the delegation about common approaches related with Peace Support Operations and other issues of common interest. Moreover, future meetings and workshops will be planned and also common exercises participation will be established.
