Participation of SEEBRIG personnel in the Environmental Protection Planning Workshop, 5 to 6 June 2019, OSCE Vienna, Austria

SEEBRIG representative LTC Dobril RADOSLAVOV (Na-2) took part in an expert-led workshop organized by the OSCE High Level Planning Group (HLPG) in Vienna, Austria from 5 to 6 June 2019. The workshop “Planning Measures for Environmental Protections in Peacekeeping” brought together experts fromrange ofinternational organizations and MoDs– OSCE, United Nations, Multinational CIMIC Group, SEEBRIG, United Kingdom, Sweden, Ireland. The facilitated focused discussions were aboutlessons learned and innovative practices and proven technical development in modern peacekeeping.

  The insightfulness and level of debt of the presented analyses gave a framework for SEEBRIG to develop a baseline to actualize its relevant proceduresand environmental restorations standardsand possibly to implement the EP topic in future exercises. Additionally, this participation was a good opportunity for SEEBRIG HQ to continue and strengthen the existing collaboration with OSCE HLPGand to increase its visibility among other relevant international organizations.
