Main Planning Conference for Exercise “SEVEN STARS 21” (VTC), 21 January 2021

According to the Annual Plan 2021, The Main Planning Conference (MPC) for the Exercise SEVEN STARS 2021 (SS21) was conducted via VTC on 21 January 2021 from Camp Boro MENKOV, Kumanovo (Na 5).

In this very important online activity supported by SEDM Portal technical personnel, there were representatives from Na-1, Na-2, Na-3, Na-5, Na-6, Na-7 and PMSC/SEDM-CC supporting SEEBRIG HQ in order to have a common agreement concerning with the key issues of SS 21.

In the opening remarks, Commander of SEEBRIG welcomed all participants, he informed them briefly about the completed activities of the Exercise Planning Process and Operation Planning Process (OPP), aims of the Main Planning Conference and the following activities. Later on, updates about Exercise Specifications, Manning Issues, FCC/KLT Expectations, OPP, Scenario Overview, Real Life Support and Legal Aspects of SS21 were presented by the chief of the sections.

During the conference, the main topics such as Exercise Structure, Manning List, Memorandum of Understanding and Technical Arrangements, Real Life Support Issues and effects of the pandemic on the SS21 were discussed with the participants.

At the end of the MPC, COMSEEBRIG appreciated the work of delegations and SEEBRIG HQ. In conclusion he emphasized that SEEBRIG Nucleus Staff will continue to make preparations about the following events, in close cooperation with the member nations, other organizations and of course, under the guidance of SEDM-CC and PMSC, considering as first priority the safety of the personnel and the compliance with the relevant protective measures for the impacts of the pandemic.
