South-Eastern Europe Brigade (SEEBRIG) - formation established by seven participating nations in order to contribute to the regional security and stability in the Euro-Atlantic area

Greek Language Classes for the foreign nucleus staff and their families members

As it is stated in the Multinational Peace Force South-East Europe Agreement, one of the missions of SEEBRIG, as part of the SEDM process, is to foster good neighborly relations and also to strengthen the cooperation among the countries in South Eastern Europe.

A tradition established among the SEEBRIG HQ foreign personnel and their family members is to try to better understand the culture and the language of the countries that are members of this initiative.

Since the Greek Language is the foundation of an ancient culture, which endured until today, and passed on from generation to generation a rich heritage in different sciences and arts, the expected way to act from SEEBRIG HQ perspective was to conduct a Greek Language Learning Course for the personnel appointed during the year 2018

The course was conducted between December 2017 and May 2018, aiming to help the attendees to achieve a conversational level in Greek Language. To attain this objective a private teaching center was selected. Located in the city of Larisa, the center provided the necessary teachers, materials, and answers to many questions risen by the students.

On 14th of May, a ceremony was organized to mark the successful completion of the course, and all the participants received certificates to prove the efforts they have put into the course.

COMSEEBRIG used the opportunity to offer a token of appreciation of the cooperation among the two organizations – SEEBRIG HQ and the Teaching Centre – by presenting certificates of appreciation and small gifts to the teacher and the school director.

The activity ended with a small reception.
