South-Eastern Europe Brigade (SEEBRIG) - formation established by seven participating nations in order to contribute to the regional security and stability in the Euro-Atlantic area

Participation of SEEBRIG HQ personnel in the Workshop “Analysis Makes the Difference”, 16-18 October 2018, Hague, Netherlands

The overall aim of the workshop, that was organized by the Civil-Military Cooperation Center of Excellence (CCOE), was to strengthen cooperation between military and civilian spheres by enhancing mutual trust and confidence between NATO, its partners and other international and local actors. The participants were civilian and military experts from different organizations with different backgrounds from conflict areas, but also with analytical skills to identify synergies and challenges that are of common interest in order to improve cooperation at a large scale and contribute to a comprehensive approach. SEEBRIG HQ was represented by LTC Daniel NATU, Chief G9 (CIMIC).

A wide range of topics was addressed, including Collective Defence, Observations and Lessons Identified, Conflict Analysis, Civilian – Military Communication processes, Resilience, and analysis methods on Mali, Syria and Eastern Europe.
Strongly focused on preparedness for Peace Support, Humanitarian Assistance and Disaster Relief missions, SEEBRIG has a vested interest in keeping abreast with the latest developments in CIMIC and the activities of the respective Community of Interest.
