South-Eastern Europe Brigade (SEEBRIG) - formation established by seven participating nations in order to contribute to the regional security and stability in the Euro-Atlantic area

Ceremony for honorary renaming of two briefing rooms in SEEBRIG HQ on 23 August 2019 Tyrnavos/Larissa Na-3

On the occasion of the 20th anniversary of SEEBRIG, in the memory of two former commanders of SEEBRIG who passed away and to recognize their contribution two of the briefing rooms in SEEBRIG HQ were named after them.

The main Briefing room of the SEEBRIG HQ will carry the name “General ZORLU” after the first commander LTG Hilmi Akın ZORLU (Na-7), who worked to establish the Multinational Peace Force South-Eastern Europe (MPFSEE) in 1999.

The Operational/TOC briefing room will carry the name “General NENOV” after MG Neyko NENOV (Na-2), who led SEEBRIG HQ during operation in Afghanistan in 2006.

The ceremony was held with participation of all SEEBRIG HQ personnel who observed moments of silence for the two late Commanders. COMSEEBRIG BG Tudorica PETRACHE with SNRs from Na-2, LTC Dobril RADOSLAVOV, and Na-7, COL Murat VURAL unveiled the honorary plaques and addressed the staff with summaries of the two Generals careers’ achievements.
