South-Eastern Europe Brigade (SEEBRIG) - formation established by seven participating nations in order to contribute to the regional security and stability in the Euro-Atlantic area

SEDM Meeting, 4 November 2021, Skopje/Na-5

The South-Eastern Europe Defense Ministerial (SEDM) meeting was held in Skopje, Na-5, on 04 November 2021.

Ministers and representatives from SEDM Nations, Austria, the SEEBRIG Commander and observers from EU, RACVIAC-Centre for Security Cooperation, and UNDP/SEESAC participated in the Meeting, chaired by H.E. Mr. Plamen YORDANOV, and focused on promoting enduring-peace, cooperation in SEE, enhance regional security, stability, good neighborly relations and contribution to preventing deterioration of security and strengthening the defense architecture, in the region of Southeastern Europe (SEE), as well the achievements obtained within the SEDM process.

During the SEDM meeting, the SEEBRIG Commander BG Aristeidis Iliopoulos presented a summary of the SEEBRIG’s main activities since the last Ministerial Meeting in Bucharest, future activities, SEEBRIG’s documents pending for approval and SEEBRIG perspectives.

MPFSEE Ministers of Defense expressed their appreciation to the Commander of SEEBRIG, for his remarkable input to SEEBRIG’s activities and development and approved the HQ SEEBRIG Annual Plan for 2022, SEEBRIG’s Budget for the Fiscal Year 2022 and the Medium Term Financial Plan 2022-2024, as well as Action Plan regarding the SEEBRIG’s Board of Auditors recommendation and SEEBRIG Board of Auditors assignment based on Rotational Table.
