Visit of SEEBRIG delegation to OSCE, Vienna 09-10 November 2021

SEEBRIG delegation headed by COMSEEBRIG, BG Aristeides ILIOPOULOS, conducted a two-day official visit to OSCE High Level Planning Group (HLPG) in Vienna – Austria from 09 to 10 November 2021.

On 09 November 2021, the delegation was welcomed by the Head of OSCE High Level Planning Group (HLPG), Col Claes NILSSON and his team. During the meeting both sides provided information briefings including the latest developments about the organizational activities. The briefings, equipped with fruitful insights, triggered creative and instructive discussions about how to strengthen the cooperation for future training events and to utilize the lesson learned in the area of common interest.

Next day, on 10 November 2021, SEEBRIG delegation participated in OSCE’s FORUM for SECURITY COOPERATION (FSC), where sensitive issues were discussed. During this forum COMMSEEBRIG had opportunity to present to the representatives of OSCE countries a comprehensive briefing about the SEEBRIG including its mission, structures, history, function and perspectives.

Overall, this visit was a good opportunity for SEEBRIG HQ to increase the visibility among the relevant international organizations and to develop the cooperation with OSCE.
