South-Eastern Europe Brigade (SEEBRIG) - formation established by seven participating nations in order to contribute to the regional security and stability in the Euro-Atlantic area

Evaluation Visit to Na-6 Affiliated Units, 30 May – 03 June 2022

A SEEBRIG HQ Evaluation Team, led by the Commander, Brigadier General Evangelos MITROUTSIKOS, conducted an evaluation visit to Na-6 SEEBRIG affiliated units from 30th of May to 3rd of June 2022, according to SEEBRIG HQ Annual Plan for 2022.

On 31st of May 2022, the 353rd Engineer Company, the affiliated Platoon from the 349th Recconaissance Company and the Transportation Platoon, all located in Constanta, were evaluated by SEEBRIG HQ Evaluation Team. First, the Commander of 9th Mechanized Brigade – the higher echelon of the affiliated units – subunits – together with the 341st Infantry Battalion Commander, the Engineer and Recconaissance Company Commanders and the Transportation Platoon Leader welcomed the delegation and delivered presentations of their unit and subunits. Subsequently, the Evaluation Team moved to Topraisar, home of 341st Infantry Battalion, where, in the Training Range, it reviewed the troops, the equipment and the vehicles and observed the actions of the troops conducting a dynamic demonstration of their capabilities in the training field, relevant to PSO.

On 2nd of June 2022, the SEEBRIG HQ Evaluation Team visited the training facilities of the Romanian Armed Forces in Dobrogea that are used by the 9th Mechanized Brigade for its training activities. Starting with the facilities from Babadag Training Area, continuing with the National Training Center in Capul Midia and the visit was concluded in Constanta Military Harbor with a tour of the installations.

On 3rd of June 2022, SEEBRIG Commander conducted an official visit to Na-6 Land Forces, where he met the Deputy Chief of Land Forces Staff, Brigadier General Dorin TOMA. During the meeting were emphasized once again the importance of cooperation, the role of SEEBRIG and the good neighbourly relations.

The evaluation visit was an opportunity for SEEBRIG HQ leadership and staff to familiarize themselves with the capabilities, training standards, facilities, equipment and weaponry systems of affiliated units from Na-6 and to strengthen the relationship with their personnel and key leaders.
