South-Eastern Europe Brigade (SEEBRIG) - formation established by seven participating nations in order to contribute to the regional security and stability in the Euro-Atlantic area

The 47th South-East Europe Defense Ministerial – Coordination Committee (SEDM-CC) and 48th Political-Military Steering Committee (PMSC) Meetings, 20 September 2022

The 47th SEDM-CC and 48th PMSC Meetings were held in Sofia on 20 September 2022.

SEDM member countries, SEEBRIG Commander, and representatives from RACVIAC and UNDP SEESAC attended the above-mentioned meetings, chaired by Ms. Teodora GENCHOVSKA, Deputy Minister of Defense of Na-2. The representatives of the Ukrainian Ministry of Defense and NATO Building Integrity participated in the meetings virtually.

During the 48th PMSC Meeting, SEEBRIG Commander presented an update of SEEBRIG main activities, as well as achievements since the last PMSC Meeting, the planned activities for 2023 and Budget plan for fiscal Year 2023. He also highlighted the Exercise Planning Process for “Exercise SEVEN STARS 22” which is going to be executed from 28th of September till 07th of October. Moreover, PMSC endorsed the Annual Plan 2023, the Budget Plan 2023, the Medium-Term Financial Plan 2024-2027, as well as the BoA assignment proposal, consisting of members from Na-1, 2 and 6, who are going to audit SEEBRIG’s financial accounts in June 2023.

All the topics, programs and projects of SEDM initiatives were discussed in a fruitful atmosphere, friendly spirit, and mutual understanding.
