South-Eastern Europe Brigade (SEEBRIG) - formation established by seven participating nations in order to contribute to the regional security and stability in the Euro-Atlantic area

Evaluation visit to Na-5 SEEBRIG affiliated units, 05 – 06 April 2023

A SEEBRIG HQ Evaluation Team, led by the COMSEEBRIG, BG Evangelos MITROUTSIKOS, conducted an evaluation visit to Na-5 SEEBRIG affiliated units.

On 5th of April 2023, the SEEBRIG HQ Evaluation Team visited the General Staff and the Ministry of Defense, where they had office calls with the Defence State Secretary Mr. Vladimir ANCHEV, followed by an offıce call with the Director of General Staff, BG Simeon TRAJKOVSKI. During those meetings, COMSEEBRIG expressed his appreciation to Na-5 and Land Forces authorities for the readiness of Na-5 units affiliated to SEEBRIG, being fully confident on their capability to fulfil the mission.

Then the evaluation team visited the Engineer Platoon on Military Training Area (MTA) – Krivolak. After welcoming remarks, the BN COM briefed the evaluation team on the entire spectrum of the Battalion followed by the equipment inspection where COMSEEBRIG and the evaluation team representatives had the opportunity to assess the readiness of the platoon. The platoon personnel conducted an exercise to show the planning and execution of a mission in a Peace Support Operations scenario.

On the 6th of April 2023, SEEBRIG HQ Evaluation Team evaluated 1st Mechanized Infantry Company / 2nd Infantry Battalion, located in Stip. After the office call with the Operations Command COS, the Commander of 1st INF Coy briefed the evaluation team about the organization, personnel, main equipment, logistics and communications means, the level of training, the participation in various PSO exercises and operational status of the Company. After a brief equipment inspection, the evaluatıon team was directed to the training area were the company presented a scenario on the field exercise, in which its personnel put in practice all the procedures stated in SEEBRIG SOPs.

The evaluation visit was an opportunity for SEEBRIG HQ leadership and staff to familiarize themselves with the capabilities, training standards, facilities, equipment and weapon systems of affiliated units from Na-5 and to strengthen the relationship with their personnel and leaders.
