Strengthening SEEBRIG-EUFOR cooperation through Exercises SEEBRIG observes EUFOR QUICK RESPONSE 2023 (EUFOR QR23) exercise

A team of SEEBRIG HQ representatives conducted a visit to EUFOR HQ ALTHEA, Bosnia and Herzegovina in order to observe the Execution Phase of the annual EUFOR ALTHEA Exercise, EUFOR QUICK RESPONSE 2023 (EUFOR QR23).

The Exercise EUFOR QR23 has been designed to test EUFOR ability to rapidly activate and integrate EUFOR Operational Reserve with the in-theater troops.

During the visit, the SEEBRIG team met representatives from the EUFOR HQ which offered, through informative and constructive briefings, an overview on the way EUFOR is planning and conducting its core tasks in their Area of Responsibility and exercising its forces, which don’t differ significantly from SEEBRIG’s own main tasks and foundation principles.

The way EUFOR HQ is planning and conducting its annual exercise can be considered as great opportunity for SEEBRIG to increase its visibility and interoperability through cooperation and active participation.

Finally, the visit was extremely productive and the team recommends further enhanced cooperation between SEEBRIG and EUFOR.
