THE 53RD SEDM-PMSC MEETING: A MILESTONE IN ENHANCING REGIONAL COOPERATION IN SOUTH-EASTERN EUROPE

On March 25, 2025, the 53rd meeting of the Southeast European Defense Ministerial – Political-Military Steering Committee (SEDM-PMSC) convened in the picturesque city of Bucharest, marking a significant occasion as it was the final meeting under Romania’s chairmanship of the SEDM process. This event provided an essential platform for discussions on regional security, with an emphasis on strengthening the role and effectiveness of the South-Eastern Europe Brigade (SEEBRIG) and advancing various collaborative initiatives within the broader SEDM framework.

Bilateral Meeting at the 53rd PMSC: A Reflection on Leadership and Future Goals

During the 53rd meeting of the Political-Military Steering Committee (PMSC), a significant bilateral discussion took place between COMSEEBRIG, Brigadier General (BG) Bilbil Bitri, and the Chairperson of the PMSC, Ms. Simona Cojocaru. This meeting marked the conclusion of Ms. Cojocaru’s tenure as Chairperson, providing an opportunity for reflection on the achievements made during her leadership and the way forward for the PMSC and its overarching goals.
