South-Eastern Europe Brigade (SEEBRIG) - formation established by seven participating nations in order to contribute to the regional security and stability in the Euro-Atlantic area

PARTICIPATION OF SEEBRIG PERSONNEL IN FPC TO “SRBIJA 18”, 14th to 17th May 2018

SEEBRIG delegation composed by LTC Leonard ZHUPA CG7 and LTC Nikolay PARVANOV CG5 participated in Final Planning Conference of exercise SRBIJA 18 from 14 to 17 May 2018.

 

This exercise is the 18th EADRCC consequence management field exercise, called ”SRBIJA 2018” and will be jointly organized by the Euro-Atlantic Disaster Response Coordination Centre (EADRCC) and the Ministry of the Interior of Serbia. The consequence management field exercise will be conducted from 8th to 11th October 2018 in and around Mladenovac, Serbia. The aim of the exercise is to improve interoperability in international disaster response operations. The conference hosted 160 participants from 26 Allied and partner nations. In addition, there were also representatives of NATO Military Liaison Office Belgrade, UN Office for the Coordination of Humanitarian Affairs (OCHA), EU Emergency Response Coordination Center (ERCC), Crisis Management and Disaster Response Centre of Excellence (CMDR COE), Joint CBRN Defence Centre of Excellence, Centre of Excellence for Military Medicine (MILMED COE), Balkan Medical Task Force, Headquarters Multinational Peace Force South- Eastern Europe Brigade (SEEBRIG), and four local offices of international bodies. Seven NATO civil experts participated in the conference as members of the Core Planning Team. Apart from Serbia, 15 nations have indicated their willingness to deploy consequence management teams and 23 nations will provide supporting staff to the exercise.
