South-Eastern Europe Brigade (SEEBRIG) - formation established by seven participating nations in order to contribute to the regional security and stability in the Euro-Atlantic area

The South-Eastern Europe Defense Ministerial (SEDM) Meeting, 14 October 2020

The SEDM meeting was held online via VTC, hosted by Athens, on 14th of October 2020. Representatives from SEDM Nations, RACVIAC – Centre for Security Cooperation, Regional Cooperation Council (RCC) and the United Nations Development Program / Southeast and Eastern Europe Clearinghouse for the Control of Small Arms and Light Weapon (UNDP/SEESAC) and SEEBRIG Commander participated the meeting.

The Meeting was chaired by H.E.Petro Koci and focused on promoting enduring-peace, cooperation in South-Eastern Europe, enhance regional security, stability, good neighborly relations and contribution to preventing deterioration of security and strengthening the defense architecture, as well the achievements obtained within the SEDM process.

During the SEDM meeting, the SEEBRIG Commander BG Aristeidis Iliopoulos presented a summary of the SEEBRIG’s main activities since the last Ministerial Meeting in Bucharest, future activities, SEEBRIG’s documents pending for approval and various administrative issues. MPFSEE Ministers of Defense approved the HQ SEEBRIG Annual Plan for 2021, SEEBRIG’s Budget for the Fiscal Year 2021 and the Medium-Term Financial Plan 2021-2023.
