Evaluation visit to Na-1 SEEBRIG affiliated units, 31 January – 03 February 2022
A SEEBRIG HQ Evaluation Team, led by the COMSEEBRIG, BG Aristeidis ILIOPOULOS, conducted an evaluation visit to Na-1 SEEBRIG affiliated units from 31 January to 03 February 2022, posteponed from 2020.
On 1st of February 2022, SEEBRIG HQ Evaluation Team evaluated 1st Infantry Company / 2nd Infantry Batalion and the Engineer Company / Combat Support Battalion, both part of Albanian Land Forces located in ZallHer/Tirana. The team was warmly welcomed by the Commander of the Land Forces, BG Arben KINGJI.
Afterwards, the Company Commanders briefed to SEEBRIG HQ team on their units, mission, personnel, equipment and the way ahead. They conducted different practical demonstrations of their capabilities relevant to Peace Support Operations and Humanitarian Assistance, such as Humanitarian Convoy Assistance, Check Points, Crowd Controls, Demining and Mine Clearance, Road Construction/Clearance,etc
On 2nd of February 2022, the SEEBRIG HQ Evaluation Team visited the General Staff and the Ministry of Defense, where they had office calls with the Chief of General Staff MG Assoc. Prof. Bajram BEGAJ and the Deputy Minister of Defense, Mrs. Dallendyshe BICI. During those meetings, COMSEEBRIG BG Aristeidis ILIOPOULOS expressed hıs appreciation to Na-1 and Land Forces authorities for the excellent preparation of the evaluation visit. COMSEEBRIG highly appreciated the readiness of Na-1 units affiliated to SEEBRIG, being fully confident on their capability to fulfil the mission.
The evaluation visit was an opportunity for SEEBRIG HQ leadership and staff to familiarize themselves with the capabilities, training standards, facilities, equipment and weapon systems of affiliated units from Na-1 and to strengthen the relationship with their personnel and leaders.
