South-Eastern Europe Brigade (SEEBRIG) - formation established by seven participating nations in order to contribute to the regional security and stability in the Euro-Atlantic area

Evaluation visit to Na-3 SEEBRIG affiliated units, 07 – 08 June 2023

According to SEEBRIG Annual Plan for 2023, a delegation from the SEEBRIG HQ, led by COMSEEBRIG BG Evangelos MITROUTSIKOS conducted an Evaluation Visit to units affiliated to SEEBRIG by Na-3, in order to assess their capabilities and readiness.

On 07th of June the SEEBRIG delegation moved to the town of Polykastro in order to evaluate the first of SEEBRIG affiliated units. Initially COMSEEBRIG had an official office call with COM of the 33rd Mech Bde, BG Theodoros ELEFTHERIADIS. Afterwards, SEEBRIG delegation was briefed by the Affiliated Mech Inf Bn Commander and moved to Oreovitsa Training Field. There, Mech Inf Bn performed static display of all types vehicles and weapon systems and conducted a live exercise, divided in three scenarios, dealing with Peace Support Operations (PSO).

The next day, the SEEBRIG delegation evaluated the affiliated EOD team. After the briefing given to the delegation, EOD team performed static display of its equipment and dynamic demonstrations of capabilities. Afterwards, the delegation moved to THESSALONIKI  and COMSEEBRIG had an official office call with COM NRDC-GR, LTG Paris KAPRAVELOS at NRDC-GR HQ, where were discussed topics of mutual interest.

During the evaluation visit the affiliated units displayed their professionalism and their high level of training and readiness to conduct PSO. Furthermore, the evaluation visit was an opportunity for SEEBRIG HQ leadership and staff to familiarize themselves with the capabilities, training standards, facilities, equipment and weaponry systems of affiliated units and to strengthen the relationship with their personnel and key leaders.
