Education and training events provide great opportunity for SEEBRIG HQ personnel
In recent days SEEBRIG HQ personnel attended the Integrated NATO Lessons Learned Course conducted in the premises of the SEBRIG, by Human Asset Training Consulting Solutions (HATEC SA) and received a First Aid Training by professionals of the Medical Training Department the Medical Support Battalion/Na-5 Arm, at its premises in Skopje (Medical Training Department).
Both events provided an excellent education and training opportunity for SEEBRIG personnel. Lessons Learned is a valuable source of information and reference data for planners and operators. They are a set of validated information gained during the evaluation process which serve as the basis for improvements in training and could require new or modified publications, procurement of the new equipment, changing force structure, revising command relationships.
First Aid Training imparts confidence to step up and take action when an emergency occurs. Moreover, it is a fundamental qualification for SEEBRIG personnel, due to the fact that SEEBRIG HQ is possible to engage in a wide range of peace support and humanitarian operations. While the aim of the Course was the acquisition of knowledge and development of NATO Lessons Learned process in the current SEEBRIG Operational & Logistics planning environment.
Eighteen participants enhanced their knowledge regarding the principles and the procedures of Lessons Learned process in Operational & Logistics planning, and twenty-three participants enhanced their knowledge regarding the provision of First Aid, focus on Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR), Automated External Defibrillator (AED), Hemostasis, Cervical collar, Immobilization and Gunshot Wound (GSW). All the topics were theoretically explained and practically applied.
At the end of each respective activity, COS of SEEBRIG COL Zlatko GJORGJIOVSKI congratulated the trainers for their high educational level, he underlined that the training was fruitful and productive for all the participants and expressed his thanks to Mr. Athanasios FOURTOUNAS, the trainer from HATEC SA and to the Commander of the Medical Support Battalion, COL Elizabeta NAUMOSKA-PETRESKI and Chief of Medical Training Department LTC Irena DINEVA for the excellent cooperation with SEEBRIG HQ and organization of the course.
