SEEBRIG’s Seven Stars 25 (SEST-25), Main Planning Conference and Key Leaders Training for exercise
Activities regarding the SEEBRIG’s “SEVEN STARS 25” exercise are going forward as we are getting closer to the execution phase. The SEEBRIG HQ Nucleus Staff personnel, Commanders of the affiliated units from contributing Nations, and representatives from SEEBRIG partner entities convened for two days, 24-25 October 2024, in the Army House in Skopje for the Main Planning Conference (MPC) and Key Leader Training (KLT).
In the opening remarks, Commander of SEEBRIG, BG Bilbil BITRI welcomed all the participants for being present to this important milestone and he expressed his appreciation to Na-5 for supporting the execution of the event. The, he emphasized the importance of the Exercises considering them as “the best opportunity, short of real-world operation, to test HQ operational planning capability as well as the ability to conduct an operation”. He urged participants to “challenge” each other and share best practices and lessons identified and learned. I regard to KLT, he called on participants to use this training and the time until the execution phase to consolidate the common foundation very much needed for to be interoperable, thus maximizing the output of the exercise.
During the MPC the main goals of the activity were updates concerning EXPLAN, Scenario – MEL/MIL, Real Life Support, CIS, Operation Planning Process, Political/Legal – CIMIC aspects and FCC Expectations were presented by SEEBRIG Nucleus Staff. Furthermore, the finalization of the Manning List and reaching an agreement on the final draft of the Memorandum of Understanding (MOU).
In this very important activity, there were representatives from Na-1, Na-2, Na-3, Na-5, Na-6, Na-7, CMDR COE, LITPOLUKR BDE, MPSOTC, HATEC and Affiliated Units Commanders which during KLT provided briefings concerning their respective structure, equipment and capabilities of their units.
At the end of the MPC and KLT training activity COMSEEBRIG appreciated the work of delegations and SEEBRIG. In conclusion he emphasized that SEEBRIG Nucleus Staff will continue to make preparations about the following events, in close cooperation with the member nations.
He underscored that was a fruitful and productive event and it was a common agreement that the objectives were reached and this type of activity should be repeated.
