SEEBRIG Concludes Its Community Outreach Activities in North Macedonia with the Rehabilitation of a Children’s Playground in Kumanovo
Kumanovo, July 2026
Representatives of the Headquarters (HQ) South-Eastern Europe Brigade (SEEBRIG), led by the SEEBRIG Commander, Brigadier General Bilbil Bitri, carried out a community outreach activity in cooperation with the Municipality of Kumanovo, marking the completion of the rehabilitation of a public children’s playground.
The project, implemented as a donation from HQ SEEBRIG, included the repair and refurbishment of playground equipment, contributing to a safer and more welcoming recreational environment for children and families in the local community. Following the completion of the works, representatives of SEEBRIG and the Municipality of Kumanovo officially marked the handover of the renovated playground, reaffirming their shared commitment to community well-being and cooperation.
Welcoming the SEEBRIG delegation, municipal representatives expressed their appreciation for the Brigade’s continued support and valuable contribution to the local community. During the event, Brigadier General Bilbil Bitri emphasized that community outreach initiatives remain an important part of SEEBRIG’s mission, reflecting the Brigade’s dedication to strengthening cooperation with host communities and promoting solidarity beyond its military responsibilities.
The rehabilitation of the playground represents another successful community outreach project carried out by HQ SEEBRIG during its deployment in North Macedonia. Throughout the years, the Brigade has implemented numerous initiatives in support of local institutions and municipalities, including donations to educational facilities, kindergartens, social-care institutions, and other community organizations. These activities demonstrate SEEBRIG’s enduring commitment to improving the quality of life for local citizens while fostering mutual trust and lasting partnerships.
This project carries particular significance as it represents SEEBRIG’s final community outreach activity in North Macedonia before the Headquarters concludes its mission in the country later this year. As SEEBRIG prepares for its relocation, the renovated playground stands as a lasting expression of gratitude to the people and institutions of North Macedonia for their hospitality, friendship, and unwavering support throughout the Brigade’s presence in the country.
The children’s playground will continue to serve as a place where future generations can play, learn, and create lasting memories, symbolizing the strong bonds established between SEEBRIG and the local community. Although the Headquarters will depart from North Macedonia, the spirit of cooperation, friendship, and mutual respect developed over the years will remain an enduring part of SEEBRIG’s legacy.
Through this final outreach activity, SEEBRIG once again reaffirms its role not only as a multinational military organization committed to regional peace and security, but also as a responsible partner dedicated to supporting local communities and promoting shared values through meaningful and sustainable initiatives.
As HQ SEEBRIG concludes its mission in North Macedonia, the Brigade extends its sincere appreciation to the Municipality of Kumanovo, its institutions, and all partners whose cooperation and friendship have contributed to the success of numerous community projects over the years.
