International Women’s Day Celebrated in SEEBRIG HQ, Kumanovo/Na-5, 8 March 2021

On 8 March 2021, in Camp “Boro Menkov”, Kumanovo/Na-5 was celebrated International Women’s Day 2021, a symbolic day celebrating the social, economic, cultural and political achievements of women and a reminder that while a lot has been achieved, a lot more needs to be done for accelerating achievement of universal gender parity.

Commander of SEEBRIG, BG Aristeidis Iliopoulos congratulated the women members of the staff and support personnel on the occasion. On behalf of the SEEBRIG HQ staff, symbolic gifts and flowers were presented to the ladies.

Equal participation of men and women is a fundamental security requirement, essential to the resilience of societies, to the effectiveness of SEEBRIG and to achieving and preserving peace. SEEBRIG supports the global women, peace and security objectives and promotes women’s rights in training and operations.
