Participation of COMSEEBRIG in 7th Annual Interagency Interaction in Crisis Management and Disaster Response Conference, 5 – 6 June 2019, Sofia/Na 2
From 5th to 6th of June 2019, SEEBRIG Commander BG Tudorică PETRACHE, participated to 7th Annual Interagency Interaction in Crisis Management and Disaster Response Conference, which took place in Sofia. The conference, organized by Crisis Management and Disaster Response (CMDR) Centre of Excellence from Na-2, brought together matter experts, researchers, educaters, planners, developers, business and industry representatives, advisors and various actors from NATO, EU and other structures and organizations.
Main topics presented and discussed during the conference were conceptualizing resilience, global changes on security and collaborative interaction between civilian structures and military capabilities upon risk and crisis management.
Considering that Disaster Relief Operations and Humanitarian Assistance are two of the main missions for SEEBRIG, this activity was a good oportunity to share data and foster cooperation between research institutes and governmental organizations, to get more insights about crisis management and disaster response from the civilian and military communities and also to increase SEEBRIG visibility.
