Initial Planning Conference for “Seven Stars 2018” Exercise Tyrnavos, 24 – 25 Jan 18
The Initial Planning Conference (IPC) for the Exercise “SEVEN STARS 18” (“SS 18” Ex) took place from 24 – 25 January 2018, at Camp “SCHINA”, Tyrnavos (Na 3).
All SEEBRIG Member Nations sent their delegations. In total 14 officers, a Na3 Red Cross representative along with SEEBRIG nucleus staff participated in the IPC.
In his welcome speech, the Commander of SEEBRIG, Brigadier General Tudorică PETRACHE expressed his perspective and expectations of this IPC, as well as of the execution of “SS 18” Ex, that will be conducted from 8th to 16th November 2018, in Camp “SCHINA” (Na 3).
In the conference several items related with the exercise scenario, exercise specification, the manning of EXCON and SEEBRIG Crisis Establishment and MOU-TA, that will be signed among HN and the participating nations, were discussed.
At the end of the conference the paper of the “Minutes” was approved, in order everybody to track the future tasks and obligations. This was the initial step of a challenging process up to the execution phase and constitutes the main training activity of the year 2018. In the evening, an official dinner was offered to all external participants in a local restaurant.
The Main Planning Conference for “SS 18” Ex (18-19 Apr 18) will be the next main event.
