Biography of Brigadier General Evangelos MITROUTSIKOS
Brigadier General Evangelos MITROUTSIKOS was born in the village of Sofades in Karditsa, Greece in 1969. Career wise, following his graduation from the Hellenic Military Academy in 1991, he was commissioned as an Infantry 2nd Lieutenant in the Hellenic Armed Forces. He has attended all required Infantry Courses and Infantry Captain’s Career Course (ICCC) in Fort Benning in the USA.
Over the years of his service, he has been assigned to several operational command and staff positions. He commanded Infantry Regiment, Military Police Training Center and Battalion in NCO Military Academy.
Moreover, during his career, among others, he had served in Multinational Force Protection (FMP) in Albania, as Chief of Operations in Brigade Level, as Current Ops in Joint Operations Center in European Union Force (EUFOR) in Bosnia and Herzegovina, as Chief of Staff in Division Level and as DCOS Support in SEEBRIG as well.
His training encompasses studies at the Supreme Joint War College and the National Defense College.
He has been awarded all decorations, commendations and medals for his rank.
He is married and he has two daughters.
